Albums
The discography of the American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and a number of compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed the members of the group did sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all played on Boz Scaggsalbum in 1975 Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 following the collaboration.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for not having hit singles. In 1985 the lead singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group The group held auditions for a new frontman. The band chose guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to commemorate its 20th anniversary. The group went through old tapes and recordings to create the album. The album was well-loved by fans and Toto began an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
